Richard (Rick) Rogers, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of La Verne. He received his B.A. and M.C. from Arizona State University, and Ph.D. in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Arizona in 1986.

He is a tenured faculty member at the University of La Verne, and was the director of the University of La Verne Counseling Center from 1999-2013. Dr. Rogers has been on the University of La Verne’s Intercollegiate Athletics Committee and has been the Faculty Athletics Representative since 2006 and is the Chair of the Intercollegiate Athletics Committee.

He is designated as core doctoral faculty in the Psy.D. program in clinical psychology and his areas of teaching include cognitive behavioral therapy, group psychotherapy, psychopathology and clinical supervision. His areas of specialization and research include veterans in college, CBT treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders, male sexual dysfunction, stress and coping, and adult children of alcoholics.

He is a licensed psychologist in California.
