Charnpreet Takher led the University of La Verne women's basketball team to three wins last week to help the Leopards improve to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the SCIAC. The freshman finished the week with 26 rebounds with 18 defensive boards. Her biggest game of the week came in a 78-72 win over Whittier where Takher grabbed 14 totaled rebounds, 10 on the defensive end alone to help the Leopards overcome a 20-point deficit. She finished the week with 11 points, two blocks and one assist.
