LA VERNE -- Caltech has forfeited the as-yet-unscheduled baseball game against La Verne that was rained out on March 2.
With the win, La Verne moves to 12-12 in SCIAC play and locks up the fifth seed heading into the SCIAC Round Robin play this weekend.
La Verne will host seventh seed Pomona-Pitzer (11-13 SCIAC) and third seed Whittier (16-8) on April 26, play at first seed Cal Lutheran (18-6) on April 27 and at ninth seed Caltech (0-24) on April 29.
