Brandon Shiota helped La Verne to a 12-8 non-conference win over Centenary, and a series sweep of Redlands in SCIAC play as the Leopards posted victories of 5-4, 8-4, and 11-10. Shiota hit .526 during the week with eight runs scored, four doubles, a triple, two homers, and nine RBI. He also walked three times. In the series finale against the Bulldogs, Shiota was 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, and four runs driven in.
