The University of La Verne men's scocer team traveled to
Pasadena in hopes to extend its two-game win streak and got their
wish as they defeated the Caltech Beavers in a 3-1 final in SCIAC

Despite 13 first half shots, La Verne would not find the back of
the net, and the Beavers would take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
La Verne came out firing in the second half, and got on the board
with a goal from Kyle Piper two minutes into the period. The game
would remain tied until the last five minutes of the game, when Ben
Van Kleeck would give the Leopards the go-ahead goal off an Andrew
Geenen assist. Senior midfielder Ruben Trujillo would seal the game
in the 88th minute with an unassisted goal, giving the Leopards a
3-1 victory.
Trujillo scored his second goal of the season, and is now tied for
first in scoring alongside teammates Nahavi Mendoza and Taylor
Hart.

Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps with a 3-1 conference
