Leopards Fall 4-1 to Tigers
The University of La Verne women's soccer team traveled to Los
Angeles, trying to earn their first win in six games. Despite their
best efforts, the Leopards fall 4-1 to the Occidental Tigers.
Whitney Roline would score off an Elise Devereux assist in the 15th
minute. Liz Martin tacked on a second goal of Oxy, while Alex
Nicholson added another two minutes later. The Leopards cut the
lead back to two when Asheley Vanga found Falisha Ramirez, who
scored her tenth goal of the season. A Becca Verstraete goal off a
Nicholson assist early in the second half would be the final score
of the game, and the Tigers would take a 4-1 decision.
La Verne will pack in four home games within the next eight days,
starting with Cal State San Marcos tomorrow at 4:00pm.
