LA VERNE, CA — Conner Johnson has been named SCIAC Football Defensive Athlete of the Week the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday afternoon.

Johnson had a big game for the Leopards recording eight tackles, five of them solo in the Leopards 26-20 road win against the Cal Lutheran Kingsmen. Johnson's biggest play of the game came late in the fourth quarter as the Kingsmen were driving to tie the game. The junior linebacker made a huge hit to break up a pass, slowing down the Cal Lutheran offense. Johnson finished with two pass breakups in the game.

The Leopards play their final game of the season this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Chapman.
