The University of La Verne football team took on the Centro de Enseñanza Tecníca y Superior Mexicali and Tijuana teams in an exhibition.

PREGAME

Prior to the game La Verne recognized Don Boots, Ruben Gonzalez, Noel Gilbert, and Roman Morales members of the 1953 Leopards' squad, the only other La Verne football team to play a Mexican University. That year the Leopards traveled to Mexico City.

The Leopards featured in a Mexican newspaper prior to the 1953 game.

University of La Verne President Devorah Lieberman and CETYS President Leon Garcia participated in the coin toss prior to the game.

FIRST HALF

After the Zorros and Leopards traded scores to end the first quarter tied 6-6, La Verne rallied off 24 points in the second quarter capped off by a Derrin Hooks' 66 yard pick-six.

SECOND HALF

The Leopards continued to roll in the third quarter scoring two more touchdowns. CETYS found the end zone in the fourth quarter to bring the final to 44-12.
