Having come on board the same year as head coach Chris Krich, Magdaleno has been instrumental in a turnaround that culminated in a 2015 SCIAC Football Championship and the Leopards' first appearance in the NCAA Football Championship since 1994.

Magdaleno coached quarterback William Livingston to All-SCIAC status in 2015 as he finished the season with 1,727 passing yards and 12 touchdowns. Livingston also flashed the ability to make plays with his feet, running for 102 yards and two touchdowns against Chapman. He added four touchdowns on the ground.

In his two seasons as defensive coordinator, the Leopards placed a total of five players to All-SCIAC Teams.

He brings 10 years of coaching experience at both high school and collegiate levels. Prior to his promotion, Magdaleno served as the wide receivers coach/assistant recruiting coordinator (2011), offensive line/special teams coach (2012).

Magdaleno returned to his alma mater after a three-year stint at Villa Park High School for three seasons (2008-10), where he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach. Prior to that, he served a one-year stint as an assistant coach at Cerritos High in 2007.

A four-year starter and two-year captain for the Leopards, Magdaleno was a two-time All-SCIAC selection at safety (2003, 2005) while also garnering SCIAC All-Academic honors.

In 2006, Magdaleno played one season in Europe as a member of the Avedore Monarchs in Denmark.

He earned his bachelors in Business Administration from La Verne in 2006 and earned his master's from La Verne's Leadership and Management Program in 2012.

Magdaleno resides in Huntington Beach with wife Caitlin and their daughter Presley, and sons Braxton, Braddock.
