KANSAS CITY, MO — Alec Vucinich, Max Karim, and Luke Edwards were all named to the 2018-19 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court the NABC announced.

To qualify, student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year. Vucinich and Karim both picked up the honor for the second straight season while Edwards earned his first Honors Court recognition.
The Leopards have placed at least three athletes on the NABC Honors Court in five consecutive seasons.
In addition to the individual accolades, the Leopards also picked up the 2018-19 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. In order to earn the distinction, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA must achieve a cumulative team grade point average of at least a 3.0 for the 2018-19 season.

About the NABC
Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches. The four core values of being a Guardian of the Game are advocacy, leadership, service, and education.
