The Golfers
Hussein heads into the championships fresh off earning Lee Fulmer SCIAC Athlete of the Year and First Team All-SCIAC honors. Hussein was named SCIAC Athlete of the Week in February after winning SCIAC No. 1 and took fourth at SCIAC No. 2. The junior had a strong showing at the SCIAC Championships finishing eighth overall.
Phanomchai had an outstanding showing in his first collegiate season. The Thailand native earned Ken Sherman SCIAC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-SCIAC honors this season. He had his best individual showings at SCIAC No. 2 when he took first and at the prestigious West Cup where he placed fifth. The freshman also earned SCIAC Athlete of the Week after winning SCIAC No. 2.
Davis finished the regular season with Second Team All-SCIAC honors. The junior took fifth at SCIAC No. 2 at placed 38th overall at the Las Vegas Desert Classic in a field of top DII and DIII golfers, a performance for which he earned SCIAC Athlete of the Week recognition.
DiGiamarino is the lone senior heading to North Carolina. The hometown La Verne golfer earned First Team All-SCIAC recognition in 2017.
Rounding out the five for La Verne is Norway native Skogseth. The sophomore ended the regular season with a strong showing at the SCIAC Championships, taking 15th individually.
Team Highlights
The Leopards finished the regular season second in the SCIAC standings and placed fourth at the SCIAC Championships. La Verne also took second at the West Cup.

"This week is the opportunity and reward for our whole team's sacrifice, effort, and improvement throughout this season," said La Verne golf head coach Eric Riehle. "To compete for an NCAA Championship is the goal of every student-athlete. We do not take this privilege lightly and have prepared very well and will compete to the level that only a Leo and the ULV Golf Family truly understand. We will be at our best while playing against the best."
