The University of La Verne men's soccer team (3-1) is now 1-1 record in SCIAC after their first loss of the season Saturday (1-2) against University of Redlands (2-0).
8-minutes into the game Bulldogs pulled ahead with a header off a crossed shot. At the 32-minute mark La Verne senior midfielder Joshua Hill buried a 25-yard shot to put the Leopards back in the game. La Verne took an addition 4 shots on goal but was unable to score.
Freshman goalkeeper Dylan Roberts fought to kept the Leopards in the game with 5 saves in the second half. But at the 85-minute mark, a curved midfield shot by the Bulldogs cemented the 2-1 defeat.
The Leopards will compete again at home against Caltech Wednesday at 7:00pm.
