Men's Soccer rolls past Caltech

PASADENA, Calif. — Four different Leopards scored and the University of La Verne men's soccer team used a big second half to roll past the Caltech Beavers 4-1 Wednesday night on the road.

Season Impact: The Leopards improve to 4-3 overall and 2-3 in SCIAC play. The Beavers fall to 1-6 overall and 0-4 in SCIAC play. 

Auden Foxe had a big game for the Leopards, finishing with two assists and a goal. He helped the Leopards get off to a fast start in the second half when he connected with Jack Kolodge just two minutes into the second half to tie the game at 1-1.

Foxe kept La Verne rolling connecting with Ryan Adams soon after to give the Leopards the lead for good. 

In the 58th minute, Foxe gave the Leopards an insurance goal when he found the back of the net on an unassisted goal to put La Verne up 3-1. 

La Verne added their final goal of the game three minutes later with Luis Hernandez scoring off an assist from Johnny DeRueda.

The Leopards kept the Caltech defense busy all night, rattling off 23 shots in the match. 

Gianfranco de Castro gave the Beavers the early lead scoring the opening goal two minutes into the game. 

Next Game: The Leopards return to Ortmayer Stadium this Saturday when they host the Occidental Tigers at 5 p.m.
