LA VERNE, Calif. — The University of La Verne men's soccer team concluded their season today in a 3-0 loss against the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags.
The Leopards ended the 2017 campaign with an 8-8-2 overall record with a 5-7-2 SCIAC record.
The Stags scored twice in the opening 13 minutes and added another goal in the 87th minute.
La Verne Goalies Gerardo Vazquez, Rene Gonzalez, and Tristan Polakowski combined for eight goals.
Freshman Johnny DeRueda led La Verne with eight goals this season.
La Verne honored seniors Carlos Chavez, Ferdinand Estrada, Auden Foxe, Javier Jasso, Andrew Maldonado, and Anton Russell in a brief pregame ceremony.
