Second Half Surge Hurts Leopards

ORANGE, CA — Bryant Sanchez connected with Joel Trejo in the 29th minute to even the score 1-1 Saturday evening at Chapman. But the Panthers score three unanswered goals in the second half ot sent the University of La Verne men's soccer team home with a 4-1 loss.

The goal was Trejo's second of the year after he scored the equalizer in La Verne's exciting 3-2 win over Whittier last week.

Aidan wall accounted for three of the Panthers' goals.

Kevan Rehmani finished the game with three saves. The Panthers significantly outshot La Verne in the match finishing with 23 attempts to the Leopards' four.

The Leopards move to 2-5-1 overall and 1-3 in conference action. Chapman improves to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the SCIAC.

Next Game 

La Verne returns home to face the Occidental College Tigers on Saturday, October 2 at 7 p.m.
