Men's Soccer

Samadhi Fisher is in his second year as assistant men's soccer coach at La Verne, primarily focusing on goalkeepers. Fisher brings a wealth of experience within the SCIAC and with Head Coach Trevor Persson.

Most recently, Fisher worked with the New York Red Bulls Academy last season. Prior to that, Fisher assisted SCIAC rival Pomona-Pitzer for five years. In total, Fisher has coached for over 15 years at the youth, high school and collegiate levels. His credentials include national licenses from both US Soccer and NSCAA, as well as a Level 2 Goalkeeping Diploma.

Samadhi's connection with Coach Persson extends all the way back to their youth days as club teammates who won two CalSouth titles in four years. Fisher went on to play semiprofessionally for three years in La Verne where he added a Pacific League championship and a Las Vegas Silver Mug co-championship, during which time he had a weekend trial in the A League and competed in a World Cup tune-up match against the Trinidad and Tobago National Team.

Fisher is currently studying Social Psychology and Evaluation at Claremont Graduate University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Sociology from Temple University, where he was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest and largest academic honor society.
