Ezinwa Named Back-to-Back SCIAC Athlete of the Week

LA VERNE, CA — Subdue Ezinwa has been named the SCIAC Field Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row the Southern California Intercollegiate Atheltic Conference announced Monday.

At the Azusa Pacific Last Chance meet, Ezinwa posted a top-10 finish in the discus and was first among Division III participants with a throw of 40.41 meters. 

The La Verne men's track and field squad has competed for just two weeks this season and Ezinwa has earned SCIAC honors after each of them. The junior earned SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors last week after he won the conference title in the discus with a toss of 40.84 meters and placed second in the shot put with a heave of 12.58 meters.

The Leopards compete next at the Redlands Last Chance Qualifier this Wednesday and Thursday.
