TK Berhe And David Lara Named SCIAC Track Athletes Of The Week

Laguna Niguel, CA - University of La Verne track and field teammates TK Berhe and David Lara were named the SCIAC Track Athletes Of The Week. 

Berhe, who qualified for the NCAA Championships in cross country this past fall, won the 1500-meter run in pouring rain against Division I and II competition at the Mt. San Antonio College Ron Kamaka Open with a blistering 4:06.12.

Lara won the javelin against DI and II competitors at the Mt. Sac Kamaka Open with a throw of 46.48 meters that ranked just behind his personal best despite the rainy conditions.
