Divya Biswal
Title: Assistant Coach – Jumps, Sprints, Hurdles

Divya Biswal joins the La Verne track and field teams as a volunteer assistant coach specializing in jumps. Biswal has competed internationally in track and field representing team Canada and most recently placed fourth in the triple jump at the World Francophone Games in the Ivory Coast.

Biswal joins the Leopard squad after an illustrious career at St. Lawrence University that included a two NCAA DIII Championships. Biswal was named the 2015 United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year and the USTFCCCA Outstanding Field Event performer award after she won the national championship in the long jump with a leap of 5.95 meters, finished as the runner-up in the triple jump, and took 14th in the 100 meter hurdles.

She was also recognized as an NCAA Woman of the Year nominee and earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors in 2015. During the 2015 indoor season, Biswal finished as the runner-up in the triple jump at the NCAA Championships.

In 2014, Biswal earned her first Outstanding Field Performer award after winning the national championship in the triple jump and taking fourth in the long jump.

Biswal finished her collegiate career as a nine-time All-American, six Liberty League Field Athlete of the Year awards, and 31 individual championships and six relay titles between the Liberty League and New York State Collegiate Track Conference. She also set St. Lawrence program records in the long and triple jumps both indoors and outdoors, the 60 meter hurdles, 100 meter hurdles, and as part of the 4x200 meter relay team.

After graduating from St. Lawrence University in 2015 Biswal moved to NYC to pursue a career in finance while also continuing her training. Since moving to California, she has continued training full time for the 2019 World Championships and 2020 Olympics.
