LA VERNE, CA — Charles Ortega has been tabbed Second Team All-SCIAC the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Thursday afternoon.
Ortega immediately emerged as the Leopards go to scorer in his first season at La Verne. The junior transfer led the SCIAC with 81 goals and 2.79 goals per game. He also ranked second in the conference with 95 points and 4.20 points per game.
The Covina native scored three or more goals in 13 games and notched at least five goals in six games. Ortega added 14 assists, 30 steals, and 44 drawn exclusions in his debut season.
The Leopards only lose three players to graduation.
