This is just the fourth time the Leopards send an individual men's runner to nationals. Salas joins past Leopards AJ Licon (2010) and Bryan Hayes (2013, 2014). The 2012 Leopards squad qualified for the NCAA Championships as a team.
Salas earned his first All-Region honors last weekend when he posted a 21st overall finish with a time of 26:15.6 at the 2019 NCAA West Regionals.
