Softball Earns Top 25 Ranking

The University of La Verne softball team appears in the national rankings for the first time this season, earning a spot in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Top 25 Poll released on April 3.

The Leopards (19-9) entered the poll at No. 25 in the latest NFCA Poll tied with Wisconsin River Falls (15-5) and are one of four Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams currently ranked in the Top 25.

La Verne is currently riding a six-game win streak which included a doubleheader sweep of No. 10 Redlands at home back on March 23.

This weekend the Leos will face a pair of nationally-ranked SCIAC opponents as they play host to No. 22 Chapman (19-7) on Friday before squaring off against No. 19 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (19-9) on Saturday.
