Yvon Minogue joined the La Verne coaching staff prior to the 2017 season and has served on the staff as both an assistant coach and a graduate assistant. 

In her first season at La Verne, the Leopards won both the SCIAC regular season and SCIAC Postseason Tournament titles and earned a spot in the NCAA Regionals. Minogue previously played as a member of the Mexican National Softball Team.

Minogue comes to La Verne after a spectacular collegiate career a the University of South Dakota where she was a two-time NFCA All-Region honoree and three-time First Team All-Summit League selection. She finished her career with 31 home runs, third-most in program history, 143 RBIs (third-most), and 140 runs scored (fifth most). She broke USD and Summit League records for career hits with 271 and doubles with 63. Her .403 career average is a USD record and ranks fourth in Summit League history.

As a senior, Minogue led the Coyotes with a batting average of .438, an on-base percentage of .495, and a slugging percentage of .773 — all tops in the league as well. Her average ranked 23rd nationally and slugging percentage ranked 27th nationally. She also ranked 59th nationally in home runs per game (0.26) and 70th for on-base percentage. Her 14 home runs during the season ranks third in program history. She was named Summit League Athlete of the month for May/June.

Minogue was also named to the Summit League All-Academic team, she made the Summit League honor roll, earning distinguished scholar status, and she was named to the Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.

Minogue is currently pursuing her master's degree in educational counseling.
