Amin Named SCIAC Male Athlete Of The Week
Returning All-America Rizal Amin
Leopard golfer Rizal Amin was named SCIAC Male Athlete of the Week on Thursday after helping lead his team to a first-place finish at last week's SCIAC #4 Tournament.
A junior from Temecula, Amin fired a 72 at to finish in a tie for first place in leading eighth-ranked La Verne to victory at the SCIAC #4 Tournament April 14 at Brookside Country Club in Pasadena.
A 2007 All-American and a 2008 finalist for the Jack Nicklaus Award given to the nation's top golfer, Amin finished first or second in three of the first four SCIAC Tournaments this season.
The Leopards are ranked 6th in the latest Golfworld/Nike Golf Division III Poll.
