Duron brings a wealth of coaching experience into her first year
of the La Verne program and has previously coached at the Division
I, II and community college levels.
She previously served as head coach at Mt. San Jacinto College
during the 2008-09 academic year, leading the squad to a 11-4
overall record and 6-2 in conference play. For her efforts she was
named the 2009 Foothill Conference Coach of the Year.
Additionally she served as assistant men's and women's tennis coach
at both Division II Cal Poly Pomona (2005-08) and Division I Temple
(2004-05). She began her collegiate coaching career at alma mater
Drexel University in 2002, serving as assistant men's and women's
tennis coach for two seasons.
Duron is a former Divison I player at Drexel where she was team
captain as well as an America East All-Conference selection in
2001. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
from Drexel in 2003 while earning her Master's Degree in
Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton in 2008.
She is affiliated with both the United States Tennis Association
(USTA), the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA)
while also serving as a board member for the California Community
College Tennis Coaches Association.

Skyler Verloop enters his first season as the assistant
women’s tennis coach. Skyler attended Temecula Valley High
School where he played tennis and received team MVP and All
Conference Honors. After graduating in 2004, he continued playing
tennis at Mount San Jacinto College, where he earned team MVP and
All Conference Honors in singles and doubles.
After two years, Verloop transferred to Bethany College where he
was again selected as an All Conference Athlete, helping Bethany
reach the NAIA Nationals. Skyler Graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in
2009 with a bachelor’s degree in History.
Skyler is currently working towards a master’s degree in
Education at the University of La Verne.
