Lovrensky Named SCIAC Female Student-Athlete of the Week

PASADENA – Madeline Lovrensky was named the SCIAC Female Student-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, adding yet another honor to her ever-growing list of achievements.

The Rancho Cucamonga native was named the SCIAC Female Athlete of the Year in swimming and diving after successfully defending her titles in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke events at the 2014 SCIAC Swimming and Diving Championships.

Lovrensky won the 200 backstroke with a meet record time of 2:02.56 on the final day of the championships and claimed the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.00. The 100 backstroke time is good for 12th in the NCAA Division III this season and the 200 time places her 21st.
