PASADENA, Calif. – The University of La Verne swimming and diving teams had four swimmers named to the Academic All-SCIAC teams, the conference office announced on Friday.

Madeline Lovrensky, Kaitlin Wilson and Julia Yeung were honored from the women's team while Felipe Avendano Villa was selected from the men's team.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average at his/her current institution, must have completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution, and must have reached sophomore athletic eligibility. In the case of transfers, graduate students, and two-year college graduates, the student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution.

The Leopards just wrapped up one of their best seasons in memory, breaking 16 school records at the 2014 SCIAC Swimming and Diving Championships and placing eight members on all-conference teams.

In March, both the men's and the women's teams received College Swimming Coaches Association of America's Team Scholar All-America Award for posting grade point averages of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester.
