Lovrensky Named CSCAA First Team Scholar All-America

LA VERNE, Calif. — Madeline Lovrensky completed a successful year in the classroom in addition to her work in the pool as she was selected to the NCAA Division III Individual Women First Team Scholar All-America by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

To qualify for Scholar All-America recognition, a student-athlete must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have qualified and competed at that year's NCAA Championships.

This past season, Lovrensky was named the SCIAC Female Athlete of the Year for Swimming and Diving after extending her undefeated streak in the backstroke events in the SCIAC. At the 2014 NCAA National Championships, Lovrensky broke her own school and SCIAC record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.58 and earned Honorable Mention All-America honors.
