Lovrensky earned invitations in her signature 100 yard backstroke and the 200 yard backstroke. On Wednesday morning, Lovrensky kicked off the meet with a bonus swim in the 50 yard freestyle and finished 19th overall in the prelims (23.62 seconds), just missing the cut for the evening finals.

Lovrensky begins her quest in earnest on Friday, when she will swim the 100 yard backstroke. She had the eighth fastest time (55.49) in the country heading into the championships.

She will wrap up her career on Saturday when she competes in the 200 yard backstroke. Lovrensky was the last automatic qualifier in the event (2:02.78) but with many swimmers racing multiple events, has a chance to move up a few notches.
