GRINNELL, Iowa — Andrew Tompkins of the La Verne men's swimming and diving team finished fourth overall on the 1-meter board at the 2017 NCAA Division III Region 2 Diving Championships, hosted by Grinnell, at Osgood Pool.
The freshman posted an 11-dive score of 393.70 in his first-ever postseason competition.
Kendall Hollimon of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps won the event with a score of 478.50 and Trevor Burke of Emory finished second with a 468.15.
Tompkins returns to action tomorrow on the 3-meter board.
