LA VERNE, Calif. — The University of La Verne swimming and diving teams took on the Redlands Bulldogs and Cal Lutheran in their final home meet of the year and celebrated their eight seniors.
Senior Day
The Leopard honored seniors Sara Bartelt, Ashley Bennett, Amber DeLoye, Mary Hanna, Ashley MacAskill, Rachel Miyoga, Roy Sorbel, and Guillermo Yanes.
DeLoye had a solid day off the boards. The senior finished in third place in the three-meter with a score of 166.50.
Senior Mary Hanna also turned in a good meet, touching second in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:15.98 and swimming a leg in each of the Leopards relays.
Hanna, fellow seniors Rachel Fox and Rachel Miyoga, along with Kayla Yip, earned a second place finish in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 4:13.85.
The same combination of Leopard swimmers took second in the 400 yard freestyle with a time of 3:48.61.
Yip finished first in the 100 butterfly, winning with a time of 1:01.14.
Fox took third in the 1650 yard freestyle, touching at time of 19:42.57. Miyoga scored a third place finish in the 50 yard freestyle, touching a 26.00.
Lorenzo DeLeon took third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.65.
