REDLANDS, CA — The University of La Verne swimming and diving teams had a strong showing in their SCIAC opener at Redlands Saturday morning.
From the Coach
"We had a very good meet today even though the score did not reflect it," said head coach Pat Skehan. "We competed in every single event with a very good Redlands team. The freshman especially stepped up and performed well in their events. It was great to see this young team race well."
The Leopards were led by Rachel Fox. The senior won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:38.94 well ahead of the next best finisher. She followed that up with another win, this time in the 500 yard freestyle, touching at 5:41.60.
