Leopards post fast times on Day 3 of SCIAC Championships

COMMERCE, CA — Five Leopards placed in the consolation finals as the University of La Verne swimming and diving teams competed on Day Three of the 2019 SCIAC Swimming Championships.

Sophomore Lorenzo DeLeon took fourth in the consolation final of the 400 yard individual medley, touching at 4:13.18.

In the 100 yard butterfly, senior Kayla Yip added a fourth place finish for the Leopards in the consolation final with a time of 58.46.

In the men's 100 yard butterfly fellow senior CJ Woodward took fifth at 51.90 in the consolation final of the event.

Rachel Fox followed up her consolation final win in the 500 freestyle on day two with a fifth place finish in the 200 yard freestyle consolation final with a time of 1:59.48.

Freshman Alondra Camacho added a sixth place finish in the consolation final of the women's 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:00:31.

Next Meet

The Leopards conclude the SCIAC Championships tomorrow in Commerce.
