LA VERNE - The Leopards of La Verne (8-4, 3-0 SCIAC) earned their third SCIAC win (70-67) in tonight's matchup against the Beavers of Caltech (1-11, 0-3 SCIAC).

Bolstered by the offensive play of Lindsey Foster and the defensive prowess of Emily Myers, the Leopards again put on a solid showing of disciplined basketball.  Both players earned double doubles on the night.

With 11 rebounds, Foster led the team in points (28) going 13 for 26 from the field, and 2 for 4 from the free throw line.  Myers shined on the boards with 15 rebounds.  Not to be outdone, she also added 12 points of her own as the second leading scorer for La Verne.

The Leopards shot 37.5 percent from the field, and 52.9 percent from the free throw line.

La Verne next takes the floor at home against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM here on the Franz Athletic Court.
