Women's Basketball falls to Redlands on the road

REDLANDS, Calif. — Kayla Chism led the Leopards with a career-high 20 points, but the University of La Verne women's basketball team went cold from beyond the arc, falling on the road to the Redlands Bulldogs 89-63 Wednesday night.

Chism also led the Leopards with eight rebounds.

Alena Koay came off the bench to finish in double figures. The junior went 4-7 from the field, dropping 10 points. 

Guard Nyjeeiah Ganan scored eight points. Jessica Hanashiro grabbed six rebounds. Clarissa Perez scored seven points, dished out four assists, and grabbed four rebounds. 

Redlands was led by Reyna Ta'amu's 27 points and 16 rebounds.

The Leopards drop to 5-17 overall and 3-10 in conference play. The Bulldogs improve to 13-10 overall and 8-6 in the SCIAC.

Next Game: The Leopards hit the road this Saturday to take on the first place Chapman Panthers at 4 p.m.
