Michael Walker enters his fifth season as an assistant coach with the University of La Verne women's basketball team. Prior to the University of La Verne, Coach Walker was on the staff at the University of Antelope Valley. Walker helped lead the Pioneers to a 2016-2017 California Pacific Conference Championship, in the team's inaugural season. The Pioneers finished the 2016-2017 season with a 19-7 record (11-3 in the CalPac Conference) with one All-American, two First Team All-Conference players, one Second Team All-Conference player, one Honorable Mention player, and the Defensive Player of the Year. 

Prior to the University of Antelope Valley, Walker served season as Assistant Coach at Bethesda University. Coach Walker helped the Flames make three consecutive playoff trips. He was with the 2014-2015 national runner-up team and played a huge part in helping win back-to-back West Region Championships.

In addition to his coaching duties at the University of La Verne, Coach Walker will handle all aspects of the women's basketball program and will be responsible for teaching footwork, shooting technique, zone-defenses, team play and more.
