PASADENA, Calif. — The University of La Verne women's golf team competed this weekend and SCIAC No. 2 at Brookside Golf Club.
Kirsten Contreras opened the first round with a 92 and improved by seven shots her second time out to finish the tournament with a card of 177.
Freshman Alexi Gonzalez shot 88 her first time out and a 94 on day two. Morgan Malloy had to withdraw from the tournament.
Next Round: The Leopards compete next at the SCIAC Championship beginning on Sunday, March 22 at Los Serranos Golf Club in Chino Hills.
