Kasenda leads Women's Golf at Regals Invite

THOUSAND OAKS, CA — Katrina Kasenda led the University of La Verne women's golf team at the Cal Lutheran Regals Invitational.

Kasenda, a freshman from Rancho Cucamonga, tied for 28th overall. After shooting a 93 on day one, Kasenda improved by four strokes on day two and jumped three spots up the leaderboard.

The Leopards took eighth overall with a team scored of 724.

Carly Nicholson also showed improvement on day two, cutting her round by three strokes on day two, shooing a 100.

Khinchitchit (Tina) Chaw made the biggest leap between rounds. The freshman carded a 121 in the opening round and finished seven strokes better on Tuesday.

Alexandra Hauck shot a 104 on Monday but had to withdraw on Tuesday.

Redlands took the team title with the Bulldogs' Annie Hay finishing first individually.

Next Round

The Leopards will next compete at the Redlands Lady Bulldog Classic in Rancho Mirage, CA. The tournament will be held at the S Club and from March 25-26.
