REDLANDS- The University of La Verne women's soccer squad took a 0-0 tie late into a matchup with Redlands University before giving up a pair of goals.

The Leopards fought off a barrage of Bulldog shots until a Redlands strike in the 75th minute made the score 1-0 with 15 minute remaining. Another Bulldog score in the 80th minute, this time from a penalty kick, sealed the loss.

Senior forward Marisella Macias and freshman defender Kyndall Taylor each had two shots on the day. Junior goalie Delanie Pacheco recorded a season-high 13 saves.

Redlands (4-7-3, 4-4-2 SCIAC) attempted 30 shots on the afternoon versus nine for La Verne (6-9-1, 3-6-1 SCIAC). The Bulldogs held a 4-1 corner kick advantage.

The Leos return to the pitch Wednesday, hosting Occidental College at Ortmayer Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
