La Verne, CA- The University of La Verne women's soccer team celebrated Senior Night tonight at Ortmayer Stadium. ULV Athletics started the game by congratulating the seniors and their families: Brianna Wong, Chloe Robinson, Michelle Benavides, Sarah Ramirez, Julia Gomez, Reagan Appleby, Hayden Melin, and Danielle Bennett. 

Soon after, it was game time for the hosting University of La Verne Leopards facing the Cal Lutheran Regals. 

La Verne had a strong and steady defense for the first half of the game with Cal Lutheran in possession of the ball for nearly the entire half. Meanwhile, La Verne goalie Abigail Macedo had an unstoppable half with four diving saves to keep the crowd on their feet. 

Although a no-scoring first half, the Leopards defense held their own and continued to threaten the Regals.

Although a defensive match for La Verne, Leopard, Shelbie Mueller attempted three of the five goals against the Regals. Goalie Macedo continued to secure Leopard territory with two additional saves later in the second half. 

The game ended with no scoreboard action, 0-0. With their fifth tie of the season, they head to their final game on Saturday at Caltech in search of that winning finale.
