Leopards compete at Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. — Anthony Hamilton and Kyle Ambat led a handful of Leopards at the prestigious Brian Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University.

Hamilton set a personal record in the high jump tying the fourth best mark in La Verne history with a leap of 6-7. The mark ties Hamilton for first in the SCIAC rankings and ranks him 16th in the country.

Not to be outdone, Ambat set a personal record in the triple jump with a distance of 46-00.75, improving his seventh-best mark in the La Verne record books. Ambat's mark placed him third in the conference. He also finished with a mark of 22-02.25 in the long jump.

Ebony Turner finished with a 5-03.75 in the high jump. Catalina Lee Kim lept 36-01.25 in the triple jump.

In the shot put, T.J. Randall thew a 46-08 and Matthew Pedroza finished at 40-02.25. In the discus, Michael Brown led La Verne with a 132-00 and Randall finished at 126-09.
