Lee Kim narrowly misses finals at NCAA Championships

LA CROSSE, Wis. — Catalina Lee Kim finished second in her heat of the 100m hurdles but narrowly missed the cut for the finals at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Lee Kim got out of the blocks slow but finished strong, moving into the front of the pack over the last three hurdles. The senior and two-time NCAA qualifier finished with a time of 14.81, tenth overall. The winners of each of the three preliminary heats and the next six fastest times advanced to the finals.

Lee Kim finishes her career with five All-West Region honors and five All-SCIAC performances. She added a SCIAC Championship in 2017 with a win in the triple jump and was named the Jesse Iles Scafani Female Athlete of the Year at the 2018 Senior Blanket Awards.

She leaves the Leopards' program holding the record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.34.
