CLAREMONT, CA — Rachael Dela Cruz won a SCIAC title in the 3000m steeplechase, Elizabeth Prevedello added a podium finish of her own, and the University of La Verne women's track and field team had a solid start to the 2019 SCIAC Track and Field Championships.
Day One Results | Day Two Program
Dela Cruz, who entered the steeplechase seeded third, jumped in front of the competition with three laps to go and held on for the first SCIAC Championship in her career. The senior ran a personal best 11:12.02 to claim the title. The time is the third fastest in La Verne history.
