LEXINGTON, Ky. — After scoring a pair of wins last week, the University of La Verne volleyball team moved up a spot to No. 14 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III polls.

Complete Rankings

The Leopards, who entered the season ranked No. 25 in the nation, have steadily moved up the polls in the past three weeks. After opening the season with a five-set win over then No. 10 UT Dallas in the Pacific Coast Classic, La Verne jumped 10 spots to No. 15.

La Verne's move to No. 14 comes on the heels of a big come from behind win in their SCIAC home-opener against then No. 17 Cal Lutheran. After falling behind 2-1, the Leopards rallied to beat the Regals in five sets in front of a packed house. La Verne capped off the week the following day with a four-set win on the road against Redlands.

Next Match: The Leopards head into another big SCIAC match-up this Friday when they take on No. 7 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on the road at 7 p.m.
