PASADENA, CA — Kelsie Sievers and Haley Celaya each finished with double-digit kills, and the Leopards rolled on their way to a 3-0 sleep over the Caltech Beavers Friday evening in Braun Gymnasium.

Season Impact
With the road win, La Verne improves to 15-9 overall and 7-5 in SCIAC play. The Beavers drop to 3-18 overall and 0-13 in the SCIAC.
Conference Outlook
Its a race between six teams for the four spots in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps currently sits in first place with a 10-1 SCIAC record followed by Chapman (9-3), Pomona-Pitzer (8-3), and Cal Lutheran (9-4).
The Leopards and the Whittier College Poets are currently tied in fifth place with 7-5 SCIAC records.
Stat Leaders
Sievers led all players with 14 kills and added four digs. Celaya finished with 11 kills, eight digs, and a block.
Madison Maynes dished out 29 assists and Kristen Sanchez finished with 21 digs.
Katelyn Winiecki totaled eight kills on .462 hitting. Teagan Griffiths finished with a pair of aces.
Next Game
The Leopards return to the Tents tomorrow for a 4 p.m. match-up against the Occidental College Tigers.
