La Verne, CA - A very packed, energetic crowd set the tone for the type of battle the Leopards would engage in with the Sagehens. The Leopards took the first set of the match by a score of 25-21. The Sagehens would win the next two sets over the Leopards, 25-18 and 25-17. La Verne would keep the match alive in the fourth, winning by a score 25-23. The fifth set would be winner take all but the Leopards would fall short to the Sagehens by a score of 15-12.
The Leopards were led by Mya Ray, with 26 kills to go along her 17 digs. Nalani Young had 17 digs 11 kills.
The Leopards return to action Tuesday night when they take on Whittier at 7:00 PM.
