Mya Ray Named SCIAC Offensive Athlete Of The Week

Laguna Niguel, CA - Leopard freshman Mya Ray was named the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the week. Ray, the conference leader in kills, totaled 48 kills (4.80 per set) on a .299 hitting percentage while adding 39 digs (3.90) as the University of La Verne solidified its Top-4 billing in the conference with a 2-1 week. The first-year player added three service aces, three assists and five blocks as the Leopards defeated Chapman University and Caltech while recording the highest points per set on the court despite a loss at Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.
