Claremont, CA - The University of La Verne volleyball team closed out its SCIAC regular season with a road contest at undefeated Claremont-M-S. This was the second match in less than twenty-four hours for the Leopards as they won a home match over Cal Lutheran the previous night in The Tents.
The first set would be closely contested, with La Verne closing the lead to 22-21 but the Leopards would fall 25-22. La Verne would lead early in the second set, but Claremont would make a run to come back and win by a score of 25-15. La Verne would tie the contest 1-1 early in the third set but would not be able to gain the lead, falling to CMS by a score of 25-15 to close out SCIAC regular season play.
La Verne will take on CMS again next week at Roberts Pavilion on Thursday, November 3rd in opening round SCIAC Tournament action.
