Jenna Panatier was elevated to Director of Athletics in July 2022. In her tenure at the University of La Verne, Panatier has served the Leopards as the Deputy Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator, an Assistant Athletic Director, and the Head Volleyball Coach. 

Under the direction of Panatier, Leopard volleyball returned to the NCAA National Championship, reaching the West Region semifinals in 2012. The Leopards concluded the year with a 22-6 overall record and a 13-3 mark in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). Additionally, La Verne cracked the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll for the first time in three seasons. Kayla Cribbs '13 and Randi Taylor-Toomay '14 were both named Honorable Mention All-America.

Panatier and the Leopards returned to the national championship tournament in 2014 after going 20-7 overall and 12-4 in SCIAC play. Under Panatier's direction, Brittany Yaxley and Kelsi Robinson were named to the 2014 AVCA NCAA Division III All-America Teams.

In 2015, the Leopards were one game shy of their first conference championship since 2008 and notched wins over the eventual national champion Cal Lutheran and then-No. 9 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Brittany Yaxley was named Honorable Mention All-America at the conclusion of the season.

The Leopards returned to the NCAA Championship tournament in 2016, where they dropped a five-set thriller to No. 7 Southwestern (Texas). Kelsi Robinson was named a Third Team All-American and Tiffany Mancuso was tabbed honorable mention All-West Region. The Leopards finished 13-3 in SCIAC play and the coaching staff led by Panatier was named the 2016 Coaching Staff of the Year. In addition, Robinson was named the SCIAC Volleyball Athlete of the Year and La Verne landed six athletes on the All-SCIAC team.

In 2017, finished 11-5 in SCIAC play and earned a spot in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament play led by All-American honorable mention Marisa Rojo. In her final year at the helm, the Leopards finished 18-11 with another trip to the SCIAC Postseason led by All-American Kelsie Sievers and All-Region selection Kristen Sanchez.

In Panatier's tenure, a total of 15 Leopards were named to First Team All-SCIAC, 12 earned All-West Region accolades, and eight were tabbed All-Americans.

The Leopards excelled off the court as well. A total of 31 Leopards earned the distinction of Academic All-SCIAC during her tenure.

Prior to La Verne, Panatier served as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Lipscomb University (Tenn.), helping the Lady Bison clinch the 2007 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship – the program’s first volleyball conference title in school history. She also recruited and trained Lipscomb middle blocker Alex Kelly, the 2008 Atlantic Sun Player of the Year.

Panatier was the head coach at Colgate University from 2002-06. In 2003 she doubled the Raiders’ win total from the previous year and ended her tenure having recruited and trained the 2004 and 2006 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year.

She led the Occidental College volleyball program from 1998-02. During her time with the Tigers, she doubled the roster size and improved the overall record from 2-20 to 16-9. In 2000, her squad handed La Verne its only conference defeat of the season, a three-game sweep, and outside hitter Andrea Ohta was selected SCIAC Player of the Year.

Panatier enjoyed an outstanding collegiate playing career at St. John’s (N.Y.) University, where she was team captain during the 1996 and ’97 seasons. She was team MVP in 1995 and received the St. John's Outstanding Woman in Sports Award in 1998. A true student-athlete, she earned Academic All-America honors three straight years (1996-98) and was chosen to the Big East Conference Academic All-Star Team all four years.

She holds memberships in the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, the National Association of Division III Athletics Administrators, College Sports Communicators (previously CoSIDA), and Women Leaders in College Sports.

The Van Nuys, Calif. native graduated from St. John's University (New York) with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Business in 1998, an MBA from Lipscomb University (Tenn.) in 2008, and an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne in 2022.
