CSU East Bay edges Leopards

LA VERNE, Calif. — Jassmine Kezman scored four times but the University of La Verne women's water polo team fell in nonconference action Thursday morning.

Emily Mena and Victoria Mezack each found the back of the net once. Mezack led the Leopards with three assists and added a steal.

Goalie Shelby Garcia finished the game with eight saves and an assist.

The Pioneers were led by Adrien Van Dyke's four goals.

Season Impact: The Leopards drop to 6-10 overall, Cal State East Bary improves to 11-7.

Next Game: La Verne has the weekend off and returns to SCIAC action next Wednesday when they travel to Redlands to face the Bulldogs at 4 p.m.
